Another Portrait Pulled Out of My Ass
Almost every time I'm assigned to shoot a portrait, I don't find out I'm shooting it till the day of the shoot, usually an hour or two before hand. So I never really have time to pre-visualize how I'm going to shoot it. Which was no different Saturday when I had to shoot a portrait of the Fayetteville State University quarterback. I just quickly look around hoping there is something to throw in the background and cast some pretty light on the person and pray that it will work.

Fast Food: Ads vs. Reality
A nice blog post from the West Virgina Surf Report, comparing ads of fast food to the reality of what is handed to us across that counter.
"Each item was purchased, taken home, and photographed immediately. Nothing
was tampered with, run over by a car, or anything of the sort. It is an accurate
representation in every case. Shiny, neon-orange, liquefied pump-cheese, and all."

More Football Practice
I found myself shooting football practice once again, for the fourth day in a row. I didn't think today would be so bad since the practice was at 7:30 a.m. So my thinking was that it wouldn't be blazing hot, but that wasn't the case. By 8 a.m. it felt like any other practice with sweat dripping down my face and burning my eyes. Hopefully this is the end of it until the actual games kick off. I'm hoping since I down think I can afford to sweat off anymore weight.

Its Getting Hot in Here...
Damn its hot. I'm wishing now that I had air conditioning in my car. The heat especially sucks since I'm out in the heat shooting all these high school football practices.
